Take Up Your Bed and Walk
In the Gospel of John, we find a powerful and inspiring story about a man who was paralyzed for 38 years. He had been lying by the pool of Bethesda, hoping for healing. One day, Jesus came to the pool and saw the man. He asked him, "Do you want to be healed?" (John 5:6).

The man replied, "Sir, I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred. While I am coming, another steps down before me." (John 5:7).
Jesus said to him, "Stand up, take up your bed, and walk." (John 5:8). And immediately the man was healed. He stood up, took up his bed, and walked away.
