In 1898, Lettick traveled to the Americas. She visited the United States, Canada, and Mexico. She was particularly impressed by the natural beauty of the American West.

Lettick eventually settled in California, where she built a cabin in the Sierra Nevada mountains. She spent the next several years exploring the mountains and writing about her adventures.

Exploration of Africa and Asia

In 1908, Lettick traveled to Africa. She visited Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda. She also climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, which is the highest mountain in Africa.

In 1913, Lettick traveled to Asia. She visited India, China, and Japan. She was particularly interested in the culture and history of these countries.

Later life and legacy

Lettick continued to travel and write throughout her life. She published several more books, including "The Wilds of Patagonia" (1908),"Through Central Asia" (1913),and "My Siberian Year" (1915).

Lettick died in London, England, on January 20, 1944. She was 76 years old.
