The Greedy Dragon Learns to Share: A Heartwarming Bedtime Tale
In the enchanting realm of Dragonia, where majestic mountains kissed the clouds and sparkling rivers flowed with shimmering gold, there lived a dragon named Sparky. Unlike his fellow dragons who hoarded treasures and guarded them fiercely, Sparky had an unusual obsession: he loved books.
Sparky's hoard was not filled with gleaming jewels or precious metals but with stacks of captivating tales, from epic adventures to whimsical poems. He spent countless hours curled up in his cozy lair, lost in the worlds created by the written word. But there was one thing Sparky lacked: the joy of sharing his beloved books with others.

One sunny morning, as Sparky was browsing his vast collection, he heard a gentle knock at his cave entrance. To his surprise, it was a group of human children, their eyes wide with curiosity and longing.
"Excuse me, kind dragon sir," said the eldest child, a bright-eyed girl named Lily, "we've heard that you have a wonderful collection of books. May we please peek into your hoard?"
Sparky's heart skipped a beat. For the first time, he considered sharing his precious treasures. Yet, a pang of greed washed over him, whispering doubts into his mind. "These books are mine," the dragon thought, "I shouldn't let them go."
But the children's eager eyes and warm smiles tugged at his heartstrings. With a trembling claw, Sparky reached for the door and invited them inside. The children gasped in awe as they beheld the vast collection of books lining the cave walls.
"You have so many books!" exclaimed a young boy named Ethan. "Can we read one with you?"
Sparky hesitated for a moment, his greed battling with his newfound desire to share. Finally, he nodded slowly, "Very well. But you must promise to take good care of the book and return it when you're finished."
The children squealed with delight and settled down alongside Sparky. As he opened the book and began to read, the children were captivated by the magical words and enchanting illustrations. They laughed at the adventures of a brave knight and shed tears over the plight of a lost princess.
As the sun began its descent, casting long shadows across the cave, the children finished the book. With heavy hearts, they prepared to say goodbye to Sparky and his wonderful tales.
"Thank you, kind dragon," said Lily, her voice filled with gratitude. "We had a wonderful time."
Sparky watched the children leave, a bittersweet feeling in his heart. He had shared his beloved books, and while a part of him still longed to keep them for himself, he knew that the joy he had brought to the children was worth the sacrifice.
From that day forward, Sparky's cave became a sanctuary for children who sought solace in the written word. He would gather the children around him, sharing tales of adventure, laughter, and wisdom. And as the children listened, they learned not only the power of stories but also the importance of sharing and the joy that comes from bringing happiness to others.
And so, the greedy dragon Sparky became known throughout Dragonia as the Generous Dragon, a dragon who had finally overcome his greed and embraced the true treasure of sharing.
